The Quebec Winter Carnival is the annual winter carnival that takes place in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. With close to one million participants, it has grown to become the largest winter celebration in the world.
Bonhomme (which means "good man" in English) is the official ambassador of the festivities, a large snowman sporting a red cap and black buttons.
Activities include the snow bath, night parades, slide runs, outdoor cinema, giant table-soccer game, concerts, snow sculptures, sleigh or dogsled rides, Ice Tower, skating and much more!
Please note no special access will be available for the mobility impaired because all sites will be outside. Nonetheless, to ensure security and site access, snow and ice will be cleared from all routes to the different activities.
Restrooms will be available but are limited.
Hotel de Glace (Ice Hotel)
The Hotel de Glace is a Nordic event that brings to life a one-of-a-kind experience combining fun and learning, with a focus on the magic of nature and the great outdoors.
A majestic icy sheen chandelier dominates the main lobby and has helped make a name for the Hotel de Glace. Their 36 rooms and themed suites will amaze you with their beauty and realistic sculptures. Wander through the galleries and exhibitions at the Nordic Arts and Life Festival and gaze upon one-of-a-kind ice paintings.
Learn all about how the Hotel de Glace was created and what it's like to spend the night in an ice hotel. Continue your tour to the popular ice slide. This huge slide will make visitors of all ages feel like children again. The magic continues all the way into the magnificent ice chapel, where couples wed every year. Round out your tour in the Ice Bar with a cocktail in a famous ice glass.
Enjoy the Best Western Ville-Marie Hotel, located in the heart of Montreal, beside famous Mount Royal park and steps from Ste-Catherine and Crescent Streets famous for their boutiques and nightlife.

The Hilton Quebec is just steps from the Old Quebec attractions and all of the rooms have a breathtaking view overlooking the Quebec City region.
The hotel features a four season heated outdoor pool which is open year round, as well as a fitness center that is open 24/7.

The Allegro restaurant offers international cuisine showcasing regional product.
Guestrooms include cofee maker, hair dryer, safety box, iron & board & refrigerator.
-Please dress accordingly for cold weather. We suggest heavy winter jacket, scarf, gloves, hat and boots! Cleats are suggested.
In order to enjoy the festivities at Winter Carnival, it is suggested to pack a small bag with additional warm clothes for the Quebec City day. Check in at the hotel is not until late in the afternoon and access to luggage will be difficult.
We recommend that you purchase international phone cards prior to departure.

-For travel to Canada, a Passport Book or Passport Card is always needed when leaving or returning to the U.S. by motorcoach. Children 16 and under can cross the Canadian border using only a U.S. Birth Certificate (original or copy) with both parents named listed. Children under 18 not traveling with both parents must have special notarized approval from both parents.
We strongly recommend that your passport be valid for six (6) months beyond the completion of your trip. In addition, we recommend that you make at least two photocopies of your passport; one to be left with someone at home who will assist you in the event your documents are misplaced, lost or stolen and one to be kept in the safe in your room while traveling.
Special Notes: Anyone with a criminal record (including misdemeanors or Driving While Impaired (DWI)) may be barred from entering or removed from Canada and must obtain a special waiver well in advance of any planned travel.
