Fountain of Youth Archeological Park
No visit to St. Augustine is complete without a visit to the world famous Fountain of Youth. The newly renovated Planetarium takes visitors back in time to view the same night sky that Ponce de Leon saw as he sailed into the harbor and you will learn how the early explorers used the stars to guide their voyages. Everyone gets a drink from the fabled fountain that Ponce de Leon was searching for. Stroll through the gardens abundant with local flora and fauna while elegant peacocks roam the grounds among visitors.
St. Augustine Sightseeing Tour
Over 430 years of history will be highlighted as you embark on your Step-On Guided Tour of St. Augustine, the Nation's Oldest City. Discover the roots of the Timucuan Indians that were native to the North Florida coast and their contributions to the Spanish settlers. Learn of several failed attempts to take over the colony and how the colonists struggled against fire, disease, and threats from neighboring colonies. See the vast British influence on architecture and learn about the Flagler Era. Henry Flagler, the Father of Florida Tourism, made St. Augustine a winter destination for wealthy Northerners in the late 1800s. Your tour includes a guided walking tour of the Mission of Nombre de Dios, the landing site of Pedro Menendez, the founder of St. Augustine. This site, where the first Catholic Mass was held in the new world, was proclaimed by President Kennedy as "America's Most Sacred Acre."
Daytona International Speedway
Embark on an exciting guided tour through the historical sites of Daytona International Speedway. Venture behind-the-scenes and discover what makes Daytona the "World Center of Racing" and the leader in motorsports entertainment.
Our tour will take place in an open air tram and will give you the opportunity for several photo opportunities. You'll take a trip around the track, explore the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series garages, check out the Drivers Meeting Room and Gatorade Victory Lane. Your tour concludes with access to the Coca-Cola Theatre and a close-up look at the winning Daytona 500 car.
St. Augustine Boat Cruise
Since 1918, the St. Augustine Scenic Cruise has been giving visitors to St. Augustine a unique view of the city and a way to enjoy St. Augustine's historic landmarks and ecologic beauty. Enjoy breathtaking views of the nation's oldest city from the Intracoastal Waterway as 3rd generation Usina's captain vessels that have been cruising these waters for nearly 100 years.
Daytona Beach Kennel Club and Poker Room
Daytona Beach Kennel Club and Poker Room offers year-round entertainment. Located in the heart of Daytona, DBKC offers Pari-Mutuel wagering and Poker Room fun seven days a week. The Daytona Flea market offers fresh produce, antiques, collectibles, and home furnishings. With anywhere from 600 to 1000 dealers each week, this very large flea market draws over 2 million visitors annually.
ECO/Nature Boat Cruise aboard the MV Great Blue
Your Blue Heron River Tour is a front row ticket to the world of nature. The custom built vessel, "Great Blue," was specifically designed to cruise the quiet and shallow backwater areas where wildlife viewing is best.
The interactive narrative supplied by our Coast Guard licensed captain offers a comprehensive insight into the fragile beauty of the St. Johns River and the Hontoon Dead River in Florida.
Your two hour Blue Heron River Tour will take you south on the St. Johns River past the manatee refuge at Blue Spring State Park. Continuing south we pass through an 1800s cypress logging canal into the Hontoon Dead River, arguably one of the most beautiful rivers in the St. Johns River Valley.
Along the way your captain will provide frequent stops for wildlife viewing and photography, discussions of river history and human environmental impact and a full two-hour immersion in the magnificent splendor of the St. Johns River watershed.
Wheelchair accessible for up to 2 chairs, but it will lower the max capacity for the cruise.
Deland Naval Air Station Museum
50 years after the opening of the US Navy base, the DeLand Naval Air Station Museum came into being, housed in the former Master of Arms Residence, which had been donated by the City of DeLand. Following an extensive restoration effort, the building was dedicated in November, 1995, and has become home to an impressive collection of historical artifacts, veterans' mementos and military art that has grown steadily over the years.
In 2001, the Museum building was placed on the National Register of Historic Places.
