Every Starr trip includes deluxe motorcoach transportation and overnight accommodations.
A visit to the Gateway Arch Riverfront is not complete without going to the top of the tallest national monument in the United States standing at 630 feet tall. At the highest point in downtown St. Louis, you'll experience unforgettable views of the city and the Mississippi River.
Trams travel at an average speed of 4mph and are very quiet and completely safe. At this speed, most people do not experience discomfort in the short ride.
The top of the Arch is not fully accessible to visitors with mobility impairments.
Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza
A dramatic audio tour of The Sixth Floor as told by the people who were there is available to guide visitors through the exhibition. The recorded tour incorporates excerpts from historic radio broadcasts and the voices of reporters, police officers, eyewitnesses and others commenting on President Kennedy and his place in history. Narrator for the audio tour is Pierce Allman, the first journalist to broadcast from the Texas School Book Depository on November 22, 1963.
Audio Tours are available in seven languages.
El Fenix Restaurant
For over 90 years, the Martinez family has been dishing up enchiladas, tamales, rice and beans. As the oldest family-owned Mexican chain in the country, they claim their first El Fenix on McKinney Avenue was "where the Mexican food revolution started."
El Fenix Restaurant's famous Sizzling Fajitas Rancheras are served "family style" with a combination of marinated steak and chicken and accompanied by rice, beans, guacamole, sour cream, grated cheese, pico de gallo and fresh flour tortillas. Your servers will keep the fajitas and sides coming until you say stop.
Big Texan Steak Ranch
Step into the Big Texan Steak Ranch and you're taking a giant step back to the rowdy, rip-roaring days of the late 1800s.
As you cross the threshold you will feel the excitement shared by thousands of visitors each year. Laughter echoes above the sizzle of steaks on the open grill and the buzz of conversation. The strolling musicians may be strumming "The Yellow Rose of Texas," or "Amarillo By Morning." Mouths begin to water as the savory smell of smoke and good beef fill the air. Eyes open wide as they take in the old-fashioned bar, the giant rocking chair, the Magician entertaining in the lobby and the lure of thousands of intriguing items in the gift shop.
Dinner Menu
16oz. Flat-iron (cooked medium to medium well)
Served with Fresh Tossed Salad with homemade Ranch Dressing, Baked Potato with loaded sour cream, Vegetable, Ranch Roll, Dessert and Iced Tea (Coffee is served on request)

The courthouse, in the center of downtown, has all grandeur of a Spanish palace. As you wander the halls, admiring the brilliant hand-painted tiles and spiral staircase, you almost forget you are in a public courthouse. Building was completed in 1929 and is superbly maintained both inside its walls and in the outside gardens surrounding it.
An elevator to the tower takes visitors to a panoramic view of the city and a fine place to take photos. The second floor supervisors' ceremonial chambers contain murals painted by the artist who did backdrops for Cecil B. Demille's silent film.
Mission @ Santa Barbara
A short distance from downtown, at the base of the hills of Santa Barbara, stands the Mission. A gem of 21 missions established in California by Spanish missionaries in the late 1700s. This Mission is considered one of the best preserved of all the 21 Missions and still functions as a Catholic Church.

View the magnificent ground floor rooms of La Casa Grande (big house) where Mr. Hearst's guests met their host and were entertained during their stay at La Cuesta Encantada (the Enchanted Hill). See the Assembly Room, where guests met for cocktails, the Refectory, where meals were served, the Morning Room, Billiard Room and Theater. Your knowledgeable Guide will bring this estate to life sharing stories about Mr. Hearst and his many guests who visited for nearly three decades in the early part of the last century. Stroll the grounds at your leisure at the conclusion of your guided tour inside the castle.

Alcatraz Cruise
Step back in time and experience the legendary island that has been a civil war fort, a military prison and one of the most notorious federal penitentiaries in US history. This memorable tour includes: 45 minute audio presentation "Doing Time: The Alcatraz Cellhouse Tour," featuring actual correctional officers and prisoners who lived and worked on the Island; orientation video by Discovery Channel; ranger and docent tours; historic gardens and abundant wildlife.
Much of Alcatraz is steep and hilly, so be prepared for walking on hilly terrain. The distance from the dock to the prison at the top of the island is about 1/4 mile (.4 km) and the elevation change is 130 feet (40 meters). This is roughly equivalent to climbing a thirteen story building, but spread out over 1/4 mile.
Visitors unable to make the climb up Alcatraz's steep road due to mobility needs can take advantage of SEAT-Sustainable Easy Access Transport-an electric shuttle that runs once an hour (at 40 minutes after the hour) from the dock to the prison building, and once an hour (at 15 minutes after the hour) from the front of the prison back to the dock. Boarding is available on a first come, first served basis. SEAT can accommodate wheelchair users. Only the individuals with mobility needs may ride the shuttle - other members of your party cannot be accommodated.
As the island is otherwise accessible, strollers are not permitted on the shuttle but can be easily used on the island.
There are no wheelchairs available for loan on Alcatraz Island.
The weather on Alcatraz is unpredictable and liable to change unexpectedly, so be prepared by bringing along a light jacket or sweater no matter how nice the day starts out. Wear comfortable walking shoes with grip-type soles. Avoid wearing sandals, leather-soled shoes, high heels and open-toe shoes.
