The only thing I might add is a small notebook . We tour directors have timed itineraries and daily reports to complete for our trips but when my husband and I travel we have a journal along. Even though we say, oh we’ll remember that, who are we kidding? So I like to make some notes each day. It doesn’t have to be pages of descriptions, but just a word here and there. A note about a picture you took and who was in it. A joke the guide told (to be used later on my trips!) Or the name of a shop that was different (“Sorry, Mom Tattoos” in Fredericksburg , for instance!)
